With all the digital cameras that are nice but don't cost much and the free photo editing sites like Picnik, it's easy to get into. Blogging, refinishing furniture, model airplane making, baking cakes (that one's a little dangerous), coin collecting, recycling things into new things. Lana Uliano: How about creating Artist Trading Cards? Get your friends involved and trade with them. Determine a theme, and then create Artis! t Trading Cards based on that theme. For example, one theme could be "Fantasy" and you could draw anything that you can think up, like unrealistic creatures. Another theme could be "Things that make you feel good" and you could create cards that include whatever in life makes you feel wonderful, like sports, or games, etc. You could even create your own virtual world on Artist Trading Cards! By creating the themes, you are challenging yourself to think in creative ways. Artist Trading Cards don't have to just be things you draw, either. You can paint or use other embellishments to create miniature works of art. The possibilities are endless!
