Fannie Collingwood: dvr is so much eaiser than tivo. It's great you pick your shows you can pick to record the whole season that way you don't have to set it every week you can program it to record only new or new and repeats.I dvr everything I watch because that way I can watch an hour show in about 35 minutes skipping all the commericals....Show more
Kaylee Schmittou: DVRs do not need the TV on - it has a built in tuner. With TiVo, you can set season passes to record all episodes of a program (or limit it to new episodes only and avoid reruns). No worry about end of tape like VHS. No need to have someone do it.With TiVo, is connected to internet, you can even remotely schedule something if you forgot.
Bernadette Roel: i have comcast.
Brittanie Zakutney: DVR is just what you are looking for. They are REALLY REALLY easy to use. You could program to record 10 shows in the time it takes to program a VCR to record one show. No messing with tapes and no worr! ying about running out of tape. Its ALMOST as easy as point and click.
Manual Burtis: I have time warner cable and you can get a DVR for about $15 a month, it replaces your current cable box, you don't need your tv on, most have at least 2 tuners, so you can watch one show and record another, or record 2 at once. Also you can rewind live tv or stop it if you need to take a break but don't want to miss something. If you get TiVo you buy their DVR box that goes with your cable/sat then a monthly/yearly subscription but it has more features like being able to access your DVR online when your away from home. DVR is definitely one of the greatest inventions....Show more
