Rubye Bonnin: I think it is a great idea to buy a board. It would actually be cheaper than using public transportation and is great for the enviornment. I actually enjoy riding around because I like to see more things that I usually wouldn't pay attention to if I was on the bus. You get to explore more places and choose you're own routes, something you can't do on the bus. Another bright thing to look at is that skateboarding would be a little cardio workout.
